Vintage Jazzmaster P Bass

Vintage Jazzmaster P BassWound to approximately 8. 8k (bridge) and 7. 8k (neck) with heavy formvar wire like they were in the late '50s and early '60s. Using flatter and wider flatwork these Jazzmaster pickups have the classic fat, chimey tone perfect for that surf or indie sound. Both positions use AlNiCo 3 magnets for smooth vintage style highs, but without the lows getting too loose. Available with white, cream or black covers. As standard these pickups are lightly wax

which is tonally the closest currently available magnet type to the CuNiFe used in the originals

with a more modern higher output bridge pickup

they also have the custom-made ferrous reflector plate to increase the inductance of the pickup and shape the tone like the originals

The neck pickup uses slightly taller than usual AlNiCo 5 magnets

As standard these pickups are fully wax potted to minimise the chances of microphonic squealing
