Celtic Twist Red Mallee Burr Ballpoint Pen JJBCastings handmadeThis wooden Celtic twist pen is one I handmade from a beautiful piece of Red Mallee Burr wood. It is rare to find wood with such distinctive colour & grain pattern, it is absolutely stunning. There were some small cracks and shakes in this piece of wood, to highlight this natural movement, the voids have been filled in with Copper Specks The pen has been individually hand made and finished with several coats of protective waxes and lacquer. I then cast the blank in water clear polyester resin

I used Dense black pigment and highlighted the intricate scroll detail with metallic silver paint
