Vincent Charlot - Le Rubis de la Dune Rosé de Saignée Extra Brut Champagne 2015 (750ml) LagreinFrom a site called "La Dune" from Pinot Noir and Meunier vines planted in 1955. After a 14 hour skin maceration, the wine fermented spontaneously in neutral barrels. Lacy, berried and ethereal on the palate. From the vineyard of Mardeuil & Moussy, clay limestone, flint. 25 years old vine, maceration for 14 hours. After harvested in 2015, aged 9 months in oak barrel as first fermentation, then aged on lees in bottle for another 5 years, total 6 years.

This versatile medium-bodied red is enjoyable now yet will easily age and develop added complexity over the next 5 - 8 years
